As some of you may have noticed, my gallery has recently been flooded with strange creatures from a place called Hearse Power Labs.
I believe I should shed some light on that.
Hearse Power Labs is a laboratory where some questionable genetic splicing of animals, plants and even mythical creatures has been occurring in secret. Recently the labs were discovered by an animal rights' group and the facility was shut down and it and the surrounding acreage converted into a sanctuary for the creatures created there. Unfortunately the group is comprised of volunteers and they have their own lives to lead and must now find homes for whatever creatures they deem possible to place.
That is where you come in.
For each creature they classify they will release a file with some information on it. This will include DNA that the creature carries (sometimes this will be partial), some personality traits/opinions on the creature, its colour scheme (sometimes partial) and sometimes a silhouette of the creature as well.
Creatures can be a mix of up to four animal, plant and mythical species.
Creatures that have mythical DNA are very uncommon and seem to appear once for every six or seven regular monsters.
When a file is released, people may ask to adopt the creature it is for. Due to the effort put into creating each file and managing each creature (and the other creatures that are waiting on adoption), there is a rehoming fee that varies by the creature. Each creature that is released will have a automatic adoption fee as well as be able to be bid on to adopt for a lower price. The start bid for each creature is set in the description and the auction ends 12 hours from the starting bid. If the auto-adopt price is met at any time during the bidding, the auction is over.
A recent development has revealed that the creatures can interbreed and some newborn babies have been found in the sanctuary! When a baby is discovered, they must be rehomed instantly and cannot go through the lengthy filing and adoption process of the adults. They will be available for the first interested party, although will sometimes have stipulations to go along with adoption.
Now for the rules:
1: A creature will not be released until it is paid for.
2: If you do not like the creature you have been given, I am sorry. You get what is in the file, and it may not turn out how you were expecting.
3: Creatures may not be resold or traded away to anyone else. If you no longer find yourself able to keep your creature from HP Labs, you may return it to us without refund. In some cases, the volunteers will consider a trade of an already adopted creature for one being released for adoption. Contact us with inquiries.
4: All creatures have been created at the whims of crazed, unethical scientists. If the resemble a creature belonging to someone else, it is purely coincidence. As these basement dwelling nutbars did not get out much, it is very unlikely that they saw your creature and intentionally copied it.
5: All payments to be made through Paypal using USD. Paypal offers conversion, so do not worry if you are not in the US.
6: Once you own a creature, you may do what you wish with it as long as it stays in your possession. Ride it, breed it (with some caution), play with it, discover complex character traits it has, take many pictures, have it sit for portraits, the majority shebang. That being said, remember to credit where it came from, the volunteers here at HP Labs would like more exposure for their efforts!

hearsepower.deviantart.com/gal…TL;DR- I am making creature mashups and you may buy them from me. They are technically ~mystery designs~ so you only get a little info on each one. No, I am not offering them for free (with the exception of babies which will be released randomly) or for points/game currency. So yeah, enjoy the fruits of my crazed mind.
